The magnificent colors of autumn are finally making their way into the forests and gardens. The time for planting fruit trees, picking root vegetables, composting and storing crops can begin.

Tasks in the fruit and vegetable garden

It's time to pick walnuts, winter apples and winter pears.

Pruning the trees should not be neglected either, otherwise they will become more susceptible to disease.

We must ensure that fruit-bearing plants are supplied with nutrients even in autumn to protect the plants and ensure their optimal development!

The best time to plant woody plants (including fruit trees, vines, shrubs, deciduous and ornamental trees) is the month of October.

If you are planning to grow grapes, think carefully about the purpose of the cultivation (e.g. wine grapes, table grapes) and also take a close look at the varieties!

When picking up root vegetables intended for storage (for example, parsley, carrots, celery, parsnips), be careful not to damage the roots. In addition, it is recommended to harvest vegetables in dry weather. Horseradish is also picked from the stalk and then stored in a dry, cool place like other vegetables picked in the fall.

When we are done with all this, we can sit down on a decorative, well-kept garden bench, where the sun's rays are still felt.
